NEWTON, Mass-- Visible Body -- the first Web-based, 3D interactive model of the human body -- now includes both male and female anatomical models. This latest release doubles the amount of anatomical content available to subscribers.
Visible Body is a reference and visualization tool for educators, students, doctors, and other health care professionals. The male and female models each:
Contain over 2,400 anatomically accurate structures.
Are rendered with 3D details and soft tissue textures.
Provide the ability to see inside major organs such as the heart, kidney, brain and stomach.
Users of Visible Body can view any combination of anatomical structures from any angle by using their mouse to zoom in, rotate, and make structures transparent or invisible. The dynamic search capability enables users to locate anatomical structures by name.
“We are committed to continuously enhancing Visible Body so that it remains the most cutting-edge anatomy teaching and learning tool on the market,” said Andrew Bowditch, President and CEO of Visible Body. “Developing the male anatomical model was a logical next step. We are adding value and content to our product at no additional cost to our subscribers.”
Visible Body partners with leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies to develop customized modules that provide surgical training and that showcase products. “The availability of both male and female models will be of interest to companies that develop gender-specific devices,” Bowditch added.
