Visible Body's Muscle Premium Recognized with Gold Digital Health Award

June 23, 2017 – Visible Body today announced that its 3D musculoskeletal reference app Muscle Premium received a gold medal and top honors from the Spring 2017 Digital Health Awards.

This year marks the 19th annual awarding of the Digital Health Awards, honoring the world’s best digital health resources. Organized by the Health Information Resource Center, the awards recognize high-quality digital health resources for consumers and health professionals. A panel of 34 experts in digital health media served as judges to select the winners from nearly 500 entries.

Muscle Premium won the Gold in the category of Mobile Application Tool/Resource. The app includes 3D models of over 600 muscles and more than 200 bones; 2,200 origin and insertion points detailing muscle attachments; ligaments, bursae, and nerves; and dozens of models of common musculoskeletal injuries and conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome and rotator cuff tear.

Physical therapists, orthopedic surgeons, and other healthcare professionals use Muscle Premium for both patient education and personal reference. The app includes highly visual and engaging video presentations by clinicians reviewing normal anatomy and common conditions. Over 60 interactive muscle actions show adduction, pronation, flexion and more, and can be viewed in motion from all angles, helping to facilitate conversations between doctors and patients.

The app also includes in-depth, encyclopedic anatomy reference content in seven languages, including definitions, pronunciations, and Latin names for all structures. Also included is detailed information on origins and insertions, muscle actions, blood supply, and innervation.

Visible Body apps are available to consumers on all major mobile platforms. Site licenses and seat licenses are also available for medical libraries, universities, hospitals, and medical device and pharmaceutical companies.
