Visible Body Wins Top Honors at the Fall 2018 Digital Health Awards

Newton, Massachusetts — December 7, 2018 — Visible Body announced today that their Human Anatomy Atlas app has won Gold in the Mobile category of the Fall 2018 Digital Health Awards.

Human Anatomy Atlas includes 3D virtual anatomy models users can rotate, zoom into, and dissect. There are complete male and female gross anatomy models, dental anatomy, select micro anatomy, and the mobile versions offer augmented reality (AR) functionality.

Human Anatomy Atlas includes content used by healthcare professionals around the world to reference and communicate information about the human body. Accessible on laptops and mobile devices, Visible Body offers personal downloads,  and subscriptions used by instructors, at libraries, and by healthcare businesses.

"It's an honor for Visible Body to be listed alongside big names in healthcare," said Visible Body CEO Andrew Bowditch. Other winners included The Mayo Clinic website, the Merck Manual mobile app, and consumer education articles from the American Heart Association. Visible Body apps are used by healthcare professionals for personal reference and for patient communication. The apps are also accessed by students and instructors through university libraries around the globe.

The Digital Health Awards competition is held each year in the spring and the fall. It is organized by the Health Information Resource Center (HIRC), a national clearinghouse for professionals who work in consumer health fields. The Digital Health Awards, now in its twentieth year, "recognize high-quality digital health resources for consumers and health professionals." Hundreds of local, state, and national health-related organizations and companies enter this competition.
